Transfer 7🏆💸⛩ (Week 46)

Hello Everyone! It has been a bitter sweet week here in Yokosuka. Last Thursday we had transfers! The good news is, I'm still here in Yokosuka! Yaaaay! Bad news is, Elder Palomino went home. Glad I got to be his companion before he left. I learned a lot and we had a great time. The other good news, my new companion is Elder Taniguchi. He is from right here in the wonderful country of Japan. He is currently a visa waiter who will report to the California, San Jose mission next transfer. He speaks pretty good English and we are having a riot here in Yokosuka. That's about all the news to report for this past week though. It's been a great week. Thanks for all the wonderful emails this past week! It's always good to hear from home. Keep being awesome and going to church. Everyone in the world could use a little more Jesus in their lives. Until next week! 愛しています! Burner Family Elder Palomino says good bye to his trusty steed Sheelie Family MCM (DCS for yo

Que no pare la fiesta! (Week 45)

皆さんこんにちは! How was everyone's week? This past week went by so fast that I can't even remember much of what happened, but it was a great week! Last Tuesday was temple p-day. Always a good experience, especially the hour and a half train ride into Tokyo at rush hour in the mornings haha. On Wednesday , Thursday , and Friday we did the usual missionary stuff: talked to lots of people, visited with several ward members, planned some stuff, and taught some English. On Saturday , we had a big Ward barbecue on base. There was lots of good food and it was way fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures from the barbecue, but just be satisfied with the fact that it was great. Sunday was Elder Palomino's last one as a missionary. Two years is a long time, but it seems to go by so fast. I'm glad I had the opportunity to serve with Elder Palomino before he goes home. We became really good friends and it will be tough to see him go. Today is p-day again yaaay! We are going

AP for a day🇯🇵🏆⛩ (Week 44)

Konnichiwa! How was everyone's week? I can't believe it's already p-day again. It feels like I just wrote! Elder Palomino and I have been way busy this past week and it has been quite the adventure. Last Monday we went to Yokohama as a District. Ate ate "La Salsa", hung out at Landmark tower, saw the Pokémon center, and took some sweet pictures. If you ever decide to come to Japan, I would recommend Yokohama. On Tuesday , Wednesday , and Thursday , we just did the normal missionary stuff like walking around and talking to all kinds of people. Always fun. On Friday , we got to go up to Kichijoji on splits with the AP's (Assistants to the President). Elder Palomino and Elder Hemi went with a guy they baptized last year to the temple for his first time. I wasn't there, but I'm sure it was a way cool experience haha. Meanwhile, I got to go on splits with  Elder Nelson (my trainer's trainer (my grandfather)) and Elder Gonzales (our newest AP, who arrive

Shake 'n Bake!🏆🇯🇵⛩ (Week 43)

Minasan, konnichiwa! Hope everyone had a fantastic week! Also sorry for the super short email last week. We had like zero time so I did my best haha. Anyway, this past week has been great here in Yokosuka. We have been super busy working with members and doing various other missionary things. Because we are serving in a military area, we are very limited as to what we can do as far as finding investigators to teach, so our main priority is work with and strengthen the members. And let me just say, I love the members here. They are all so great and feed us all the time. We have dinner appointments like every day. It's a good problem to have I guess! But yea, things are going great here in Yokosuka. One fun experience I had this past week was last Saturday during a Zone blitz here in Yokosuka. For the first half of the blitz I was able to go and dendo with Elder Johnson. He is the elder I replaced when I transferred to Kunitachi. He is a great missionary and we talked to some way c

Sunshine, Palm trees, and Freedom🌞🌴 (Week 42)

Hey everyone! I have actually zero time to write this week because we are going to Costco and shopping on base today. Way excited! Yesterday, we had interviews with president Warnick so p-day got moved to Tuesday. We will still have another temple p-day in two weeks though so two Tuesday p-days this transfer. Fun fun. Anyway, don't have time to write much but we took lots of pictures this week so they can tell the story. I love you all!!!!!! Btw, Happy 4th of July. I'm so glad I get to serve on Yokosuka base this 4th of July with some of the people who work so hard and sacrifice so much for our country. We are beyond blessed to live in such a wonderful country with the various freedoms we enjoy. I would encourage everyone to give that some thought. Never take it for granted. Happy 'Murica Day!
