#prayforelderbudge (Week 93)

Yo! What’s up everybody? It’s been a good week over here in the Land of the Rising Sun. My Northern Irish companion and I have been busy with conferences, leadership meetings, splits with other missionaries in the zone, and everything in between. Nevertheless, it’s always an adventure and this week was no exception. So the setting was last Saturday night around 8:30pm at Hachioji Station. Now for anyone who has ever served in Hachioji, as you may well know, after 8pm Hachioji can get a little “バビロン的” (in the words of the great President Warnick). So we are out there just trying to fulfill our purpose and invite others to come unto Christ by advertising our free English Class. Normally what we do is, go to a big station near by and try to hand out as many fliers as we can. So while this is going on, an nice guy with a high dollar sense of fashion walks up to me and asks what’s going on. Now Hachioji already has a little bit louder vibe at that time of night so I was pretty w

一粒万倍💯🇯🇵⛩ (Week 92)

What’s up everybody!? Hope everyone had a great week! We’ve got dance/Brazilian jujitsu practice for Noche Latina coming up today so I don’t have much time to write but it’s been a good week! First off, we had the opportunity to go to Kofu for district meeting this past week. It’s about a 2 hour train ride out on a train going through the most beautiful countryside in our mission. It was way fun to go out and see an area outside of Tokyo. Never thought I’d miss trees and grass so much lol. It was a good time. Second thing was MLC. Always a pleasure to be with President and Sister Warnick. There are some big changes coming to the mission pretty soon, but thankfully I won’t have to worry about too much of it lol. It is exciting to see the future of missionary work though and how the Lord is hastening his work. And lastly, we had the opportunity to go on splits with the AP’s this past week. I got to split with Elder Handly, a past companion and good friend of mine. We were able to

The First 12 Weeks🏆🇯🇵(☝︎ ՞ਊ ՞)☝ (Week 91)

Well, here we are, sitting in our apartment on p-day with a fresh haircut, writing emails as a typhoon rolls over. Can’t remember if I mentioned it in last weeks email, but we got transfer calls and as fortune would have it, I was transferred to this the promised land of Hachioji. It was sad to say bye to Yamato, but I have heard the legends about Hachioji over the course of my whole mission, and now I have finally been blessed to serve here. So far, the legends have been holding up! I’ve been here like half a week and we’ve already had two shokuji’s, we’re working with an awesome recent convert who got baptized like the week before I came here, and there are people everywhere to talk to. The area is great, the members are awesome, and I am excited to get to work. My new comp is none other then the great Elder Gill, hailing all the way from Northern Ireland. We are currently serving as the zone leaders in the Machida West zone which happens to include the beautiful area of Kofu. Now i

It’s been a week 💸 (Week 90)

Well, can’t believe another week, another month, and another transfer has come to an end. The time flies, but it’s been a blast. The past week flew by and I can’t remember too much of it, but I’ll try to hit the big points. First big point was last p-day. We got together with Hodogaya District and made our way up to Machida to hit up the malls and a local Squirrel Park. Now Elder Jaeckel and I worked really diligently to organize all the plans and make sure the schedule worked out, but as we all know, things never go according to plan. I won’t go into the details of exactly what happened, but I will say that there was some sprinting across the city of Machida to find some lost missionaries and then sprinting all the way back across to catch a bus who’s stops were few and far between. Anyway, everyone ended making it on time. Not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical about the squirrel park to start with but it ended being a lot of fun feeding and holding squirrels. Definitely not someth
