Time's fun when you're havin flies πŸΈπŸ„πŸ» (Week 41)

Hello Everyone! I can't even believe that it's already Monday again. The weeks just get faster and faster all the time, but despite how fast the time flies, Elder Palomino and I have been out working hard and having a blast all at the same time. We have managed to talk to some pretty interesting (to say the least) people this week. We were able to hand out a couple Books of Mormon, preach some repentance, knock doors in the rain, and all that fun stuff. On top of all those things, the absolutely amazing members of the Yokosuka Military Ward have had us over every day that we were available this past week and our calendar is already full for the rest of the month. Needless to say, I have put on some weight since moving to the American Ward, but I'm not complaining too much haha. I am sad to report however, that Elder Palomino and I have not been very diligent in taking pictures (sorry Mom), but we will do a better job this week. Recently, there has been a big push for usi

Sailing the Seven Seas 🌊⛵ (Week 40)

ηš†γ•γ‚“γ“γ‚“γ«γ‘γ―! My first few days here in Yokosuka have been fantastic. The area is absolutely beautiful, ocean on every side, and the people are great. My kind of place haha. Although, I've never found it so hard to speak English in my life. Using Japanese for so long really takes a toll on a missionary. It's difficult to describe, but talking to random strangers in Japanese just feels a lot more comfortable than talking to my fellow Americans these days. It's a blast. Being able to teach the gospel in my native tongue is definitely a blessing though. I used to think that a mission was a great way to learn another language, which it is, but it's way more than that. Being able to communicate and touch someone's heart is far more important than learning a language. Moral of the story is, never underestimate communication and always share the gospel, especially to those of your native tongue! Really not much to report on yet. I haven't been in Yokosuka very long yet,

The day I became a sailor 🌊⛵ (Week 39)

ηš†γ•γ‚“γ“γ‚“γ«γ‘γ―! γŠε…ƒζ°—γ§γ™γ‹? Hope everyone had a great week! Thing have been crazy here in Kunitachi this past week. Elder Ramos and I have been working hard and trying to finish up this transfer with a bang. We have seen so many miracles this week. Almost all of the people we have been working with a lot recently are seeing amazing progress. Being able to see God come into the lives of those we have been working so hard to help is just an amazing experience. For anyone who has not served a mission, I would recommend 10/10. This past week has been way busy for us. Last Monday for p-day, we went to Yokohama and went to the Trick Art museum. It's basically a museum full of optical illusions and interactive art which calls for some sweet pictures. We also had the opportunity to visit Dr. Fish. It's basically a bunch of tiny fish in a small pool that you put your feet in and they nibble away. It's a very strange sensation at the beginning, but I don't think my feet have ever been so

"Baskin Robbins always finds out. Baskin Robbins don't play"🍦⛩πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ (Week 38)

ηš†γ•γ‚“γ“γ‚“γ«γ‘γ―! This past week flew by. Can't believe it's already p-day again. It flew by way too fast. We also get transfer emails this week, so it's exciting! I have have been in Kunitachi for three transfers so the odds of me transferring are getting pretty high. Kunitachi has been fantastic though. Great members and a great area. This past week in Kunitachi has been great. We were pretty busy all week, but got to see lots of cool miracles. Last Saturday, we visited an old people's home and did some good "old-fashioned" (pun intended) service. We sang some songs, taught a little bit of English, and folded some origami. It was a blast. On Sunday , we had a wonderful church meeting and then got to do some more service with a near by college. The students have an organized group that goes out every Sunday night to pick up trash around the college and the station in Kunitachi. We got to go out with them last night and do some service and talk to some way cool peopl
