Well, the years start coming and they don’t stop coming🌊⛩🏆 (Week 84)

Well, another amazing transfer has come and gone here in the Land of the Rising Sun. This past transfer went by quicker than Kim Kardashian’s first marriage, but has hands down been one of the best so far. Always busier than a Best Buy employee on Black Friday , running to and fro, learning all the time, and always blessed to see so many miracles. It’s been an honor to be able to be a servant in the Lord’s vineyard. One big thing I have been able to learn this past transfer is why a mission strengthens one’s personal testimony more than almost anything else out there. For anyone out there who has served a mission or met missionaries before, you know what I’m talking about. Missionaries always seem to have the strongest and most Spirit-filled testimonies and this past transfer, I have figured out why. The principle is very simple and the Lord said it best, “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” No matter how much you seek for ...

一石二鳥 💸 ⛩ 💯 (Week 83)

Buenos días! Honestly, you’d be amazed at how many languages we speak here in the tiny country of Japan (roughly the same size of California if you were wondering). And sometimes I feel like I was sent here to find people who aren’t even Japanese lol. Don’t have a ton of time to write this week so I’ll get right into it! This past week was way good. We had lots of opportunities to go out, hit the streets, and talk to tons of people. Last Monday, we had a zone blitz in the Kamakura area. Put 14 fired-up missionaries in one concentrated city and you’re bound to see miracles. As a zone, we were able to talk to tons of people and find several new people to teach. Big success. We also the opportunity to go on splits with the AP’s this week. Elder Harrison went with Elder Poff and I went with Elder Morris. Once again we talked to tons of people and found several new people to begin teaching.    The last/biggest miracle this week was on splits with Elder Wood last Saturday. Th...

Spring Break and Turkish Kabobs 💯 🌊 (Week 82)

皆さんこんにちは! If you’ve ever wandered what Spring Break is like as a missionary, then let me tell you, it’s the best! It’s not much of a break at all though, lol. We’ve been able to get out and get to work a lot this past week and see some awesome miracles. The Lord is good and the work is sweet. So, our story begins this past Monday as we traveled down to Kamakura as a district for p-day. Now Kamakura is a place with no shortage of tourist attractions; ranging from the breathtaking beachfront real estate, to a giant statue of Buddha, to the great shrine of Hachimangu, which lies atop a mountain that makes me feel like King-Fu Panda as I crawl up the stairs to the top. And our adventure this past Monday took us right through it all. Amongst all our tourist destinations though, was this one way sweet Turkish kabob and ice cream place. But as good as the kabobs were, the real entertainer is the white-bearded owner of said Turkish joint. Let me tell you, this guy is the best non-member missi...

Sakura, Shakey’s, and Baseball💯🏆⛩ (Week 81)

What’s up my bbbbbbbbbooooooooooooooiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiii’s!? Hope everyone had a great Easter! This past week has flown by but it’s been a blast! Can’t remember too much of what happened but I’ll try to hit the highlights! Sakura dendo This week, the Sakura (cherry blossoms) have been in full bloom, the weather has been beautiful, and the people are out and about. That is nothing but good news for missionaries. We have been able to talk to all kinds of people about the flowers and their families. An interesting thing about Sakura is that they only last about one, maybe two weeks out of the year. The rest of the year is spent in wait for the arrival of the next. I believe that this life is much like the Sakura season of our existence. We had an eternity of wait excitement leading up to this life and an eternity to look back on it after we are gone. So while we are here, we should enjoy the beauty of it. Life is too short to not enjoy! MLC Last Thursday we had MLC (missionary l...
